Default D44a from a ZJ $125.00 SOLD

I have a Dana 44a from a ZJ in good condition, 3.73 ratio open, with a ton of spare parts: Spare axle shafts, and a couple set of spyder gears too. The is the aluminum center section 44, and it will have drum brakes on it with about 200 miles on all the brake parts. Pulling this axle tuesday afternoon 9/16 if anyone wants to drive it before I pull it out.

I will be out of town sunday and monday for a funeral and will be back in town late on Monday.

SOLD

Yeah from a Grand Cherokee. Are you sure about the drums....AFAIK the 44a was only available for 96+ and by that point ALL Grands had rear discs.

I would venture a guess that jason knows what is in his jeep, but i was also under the impression they were discs.....He will be back tuesday if anyone is interested in purchasing the axle.

This axle does have disc brakes but those are transferring over to the new axle. Thus the 44a will now have drums.

To confuse you more it's been under his wrangler not a ZJ

Sale pending. It did have disc's when I bought it, I sold those to recoup some of the cost of paying waaaaaaaaaaay too much for the axle at some yard down in Wayne. We just swapped over the backing plates and everything from the D35. It's going back home to a ZJ now, and I'm putting in a TJ D44 as I plan to re-gear lower than the 4.10 that's the only option for the 44a.

BTW- Thanks for the Torpedo tag!

BTW, the new owner also gets a custom bright yellow spray paint smiley face diff cover, good for +4,000,000 street cred, courtesy of one of my co-workers who shall not be named.
