Default how long to WW3?

Things are starting to get hairy overseas. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26080747
Russia attacking one of our allies is bad news. how long before we are at war with Russia? Or will we just roll over on one of our allies?

what happens when obama gets elected? I know for a fact having a man in the white house who is willing to step in keeps a lot of countries in line.

It'll be interesting, that's for sure. I'm positive other countries wouldn't fukc with us if they knew our newly elected president was an ex-pow.

This is my take.

The upside to Obama is the instant change in the negative news the media reports and the instant change in the mentality/moral of alot of the public.

The upside to McCain is he wont take shit and the others will know that. I also like that he is not going to try to disarm the people.

You kids should go back and read about the history of war in the last 50 years. This is not the first time the USA and Russians/Soviets have been of opposite sides of a war, it would be the last.

After reading about whats happened, I'm not sure how strongly I support Georgia.

thanks grandpa, i will take you up on that. I know this is not the first time we have been on opposite sides of a war, but if you look at the big talk between the U.S. and Russia over the missile defense system, Russia renewing ties with Cuba, and now this war in Georgia, things are not looking up. i was being sarcastic about ww3, but its not that far fetched. throw in a china thats growing in leaps and bounds, with a hunger for metal and oil that no one can satisfy, a war between Russia and china over the eastern part of Russia is not far fetched.

grandpa, put on your reading glasses and read "the bear and the dragon" by tom clancy. its a fictional book, but its based on a very possible situation between china and Russia.

Mostly just the link posted above.

The people in the area being fought over want to be part of Russia, not Georgia.

CNN was reporting this morning that Putin is pissed at the US even more now. I guess the US is ferrying Georgian troops that were deployed in Iraq back to Georgia on our military transport planes. I would consider that being US militarily involvment at this point.
