Default School me on Alpha 1 props

I'm looking at a boat with inboard 6 and an Alpha1 prop.

Please let the schooling begin.

There is no school. The shaft sizes are pretty standard across the board really.

Stainless steel props are expensive, but durable.

Aluminum props are cheap, but sufficient for general cruisin...

I did some research and it's the 2nd generation which seems to be better then the first. Can't wait to possibly take her out

yes alpha II is a better dirve then alpha I but both are solid.

They can handle "some" HP. I have a neighbor who's running a very healthy small block with nitrous through it and pushing a 19-20 foot checkmate to 100+. He has an alpha SS and says he has never actually blown the drive but has had to freshen it up a few times over the years.

Yep. You will be more than fine. Plenty of Alphas behind 5.7's and heavier boats as well.
