What the hell is up with that Chebby? Please tell me it is just underpowered due to a 6cyl, not from a ragged out 350....... Also, was that a timing knock I kept hearing in the vid?

Nice air to the Explorer, specially through the end of that last hole.

And finally, my pos stock 80 Ramcharger 318 ci with 31" tires and 3.23 gears could do better in those holes. Get some better tires and you might be able make through something without getting stuck.

Maybe with some tires you could, I mean, a Ramcharger 318 from the early 80s is way too heavy to have any REAL power, especially when I can hit 55mph in 1st gear on a 727 trans. Still, I could seriously make it through those holes with no problem. It is not built to be a mudder or a race car, just a plow truck with some occassional playtime.

Regardless, I am dropping the RC for a CJ7 with 300+ hp, so going through those holes will be even less of a challenge.

Bowties will get you to big, sloppy, wet hole, but you need the rubber to make it in and out of the hole with no problems.

My cousin is going to buy it from me, basically because he paid 1300 for a pos chevy with a couch cushion for a seat, no bed, and an electric hydraulic plow, but had a fresh rebuilt 350 .30 over. He doesn't want the headache of repairing the truck, so I am going to sell him mine, with a full hydraulic plow, for what I bought it for, 1500. I figure, I had some fun for a year running trees over as I followed my sisters bf's CJ down some tight trails, not to mention breaking a front axle shaft and rewiring the damn thing, totaling roughly $600 in parts, and $600 in entertainment for a year is pretty damn cheap.

The CJ I'm getting only has the 258 in it right now, but I will prolly put the same setup my dad has in his, T-150 or 176, dana 300, 360 .60 over and mildly cammed with Performer and Holley 750, 1 piece rears (maybe 44s if I get the time), etc. Don't want to go too big of axles, but not really looking to break axles every time I pull out of the D-way.
