Default pitbull tires

why so cheap? found 37s for 215 a pop. what are your thoughts on these tires? sure they are wide but otherwise look like a good tread pattern. are they bias only? why dont more people run em being they are so cheap.

Because they are new and a lot of people don't have money to burn on replacements when they tires they already have are probably still in good shape. Its still a relatively new brand, but becoming very popular. Rockers are what I have seen the most of, but I just saw a set of Mad Dogs (for 20's, no less :tonka:) yesterday.

Xjeeper is DD'ing his YJ on 37" Rockers right now. They are a really good tire for the price.

Also, our Brute has 39" rockers, and I've done 70 in it on beadlocks and no balance weights. I really dig the Pitbulls myself.

From what I've seen, people hate them through the first 3-4 runs because they're still stiff. However, after that initial break-in the people I know running them love them.

DDing is about the only thing Thornturds are good for, since they perform about as good as an AT off-road. I always wondered if they'd actually be a good "cheap-ass" way to go since you can score them cheap off people who have learned they suck for wheeling and the appear to have a lot of tread depth. Just groove/sipe them and run the black letters out so they are less noticeable and you don't get verbally abused on the road? :tonka:
