I get awesome deals on merino wool outerwear and wicking shirts there. Also have bought two CRKT knives there.

What model is that? Pretty cool looking. Do you just carry it strapped to your backpack?

While we're on the subject, what brand backpack does Nellie have? I just got a Mountainsmith brand for Jackson, but he'll outgrow it soon, so it's good to hear opinions.

Its the CKRT First Strike and I carry it clipped upright just in front of my rt hip below my right elbow for an overhand grip. It's heavy - the blade starts out as a 1/4" carbon steel blank - nice pommel/spike on the end.

The pack is a Granite Gear and not too bad; we usually load one side with a nalgene and the other side with trailmix. No frills, but works good and doesn't seem to create any hotspots.

Cool man, I'll keep that pack in mind, thanks. The one I have is just about big enough for a couple of days worth of dog food - he's carrying his own this time. It also came with collapsible food/water bowls which is pretty cool. The next one will be a large and he might carry my rainfly for me. We'll see how he does with this light load.

Also gonna pick up that kuh-nife if I see it on SAC. Looks like it's good for busting some heads. I just lost my Benchmade, damnit. Hopefully it turns up somewhere before I run into any mountain lions.
