Default Ring and Pinion Question

ive got an 88 F150, 4x4, 5-speed 300ci 4.9L inline 6. the ring and pinion went out in the rear end and i dont know what the ratio is to order a new one. anybody have any idea what the ratio would be? 8.8 rear end. im thinking 373's but im not sure.

pull the cover and count teeth. divide ring gear teeth by pinion teeth and thats your ratio.

Actually it should have the ratio stamped on the ring gear itself somewhere between the teeth and the mounting surface. Just another way to check. Kodiak450r's method is also good and fairly fool proof. I'm imagining the tag is all but completely disappeared being it's an 88...
