Next Issue

Soldiers sign up to be soldiers, knowing full well that if the shit hits the fan, it's their life on the line. Guess what? They still sign up. They still join in spite of the fact that they could die just doing their job. I don't know about you, but I think the person that knows they could die any day, and still signs up for the job deserves to be paid well.

Why not?

How much is enough?

Are you going to set the price?

"I want you to look a surviving family member in the eye and tell them that the life stolen from them on 9/11 isn't worth that money." THIS IS BULLSHIT AND NOT THE POINT! THE POINT IS, WHY STOP THERE? BECAUSE WE CAN'T GIVE IT TO EVERYBODY! MONEY IS LIMITED. I ONLY HAVE SO MUCH TO GIVE! IT IS MY MONEY!

Let's see, so the "entitlements" continue....
Don't forget the compensation for the survivors of the victims of the Oklahoma City Federal Bldg and all the Embasies that have been bombed. And anybody else that has been murdered.

These people were MURDERED by criminals. If anybody should pay, it should be the criminals (terrorists), not the government.

Life insurance is an individual choice. A choice you make so that YOUR family will have some financial stability in your death.

The government should not support them to have the same lifestyle. Social security is for survival.

Oh yeah. And that's my opinion. If you don't like it, you can go to Russia or some other communist country where hard work is not rewarded and the government cradles you as low class citizens.

Hahaha, yeah, I still don't get that part.

I DON'T want the government to give away my money so I should go to Russia.

Because it's not their place. If those people didn't have life insurance, well I'm sorry, but thats their issue, not the issue of the government. It is not the governments responsibility to pay peoples families because they died. Yes, it was horrible, yes they deserve something to help cover the cost of the funeral, BUT, they don't need 2mil. Obviously I'm not gonna set the price, I'm not thoe person in charge of that. However, I think someone NEEDS to set an amount. Can these families prove they NEED 2mil? They may have needed help at first, but it's been nearly 5 years. I'm pretty sure by now they can cover their own asses.

It's a Homer quote. Had to throw in some humor to attempt to show that I'm mearly discussing my views, NOT trying to personally attack people. I guess it was a bit too obscure.

I'm thinking that maybe my views aren't the same as anyone elses on the board.

I DO blame the US foreign policy for what happened, but not nearly for the reason that Michael Moore or any of his liberal bleeding heart pussy followers will tell you. In an effort to keep this on track, PM me if you want to know my psycho-nutjob opinions on that.

I really don't know what else to counter with, because apparantly my opinion sucks.

FEMA should be eliminated.

These Katrina "victims" should have insurance if they CHOOSE to live in a hurricane zone. Same with those in tornado or flood zones. Here I am, an honest hardworking slob that looks out for myself and my family by living in a "safe" area and buying insurance, and the givernment hands over millions of my tax dollars to these peeps that choose to live in a dangerous area.

The government should have made low interest loans, like student loans to those that needed a helping hand. If those victims expect the givernment to give them free money, they should move to Russia.

Definitely agree. If your ass is dumb enough to live in a coastal zone, below sea level, with nothing but a complicated sand bag wall between you and billions of gallons of water.... best of luck to you. I'll stay here in the relative safety of the Metro Detroit area (wow, thats an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.)
