You can put a 4.5 inch BODY LIFT on an H1? Even if that is a typo, I thought you could'nt lift a Hummer period.

The 4.5" lift was something done special to this truck.... needed the clearance to clear the engine (24v much taller then the 6.2 or 6.5)... its really easy to do a body lift on a Hummer.... its just a body on frame, like a jeep, so just put some pucks in under the body mounts.......

There is also a suspension lift available typically folks only get the 2" body and 2" suspension.... this allows 42" tires which rub a little on a full lock turn.... but gives you over 20" of clearance.....

we had to put a 3" body lift on our chevy when we put the 24v engine and drive train in it, they are big.

why? if you are concerned about a wreck.... an aluminum body is the light part.... the heavy part is the frame / chassis....
