Dayum, sucks to be you. :tonka: I broke both fastway handguard covers on Tomahawk B loop this weekend - and my bars are 29" wide.

Just like noise ordinance on boats, certain areas the officers are "cool" other areas like Grand Haven no one goes if they are close or over the limit because those officers are "not cool"
Every law will have interpretation, every officer will interpret it differently. Further every officer will enforce differently based on his mood, motivation, etc. Nothing is black and white, nor will it ever be.

As a former Marine deputy that patrolled Grand Haven... Some of the officers that I worked with are "dicks" while others (like me) are pretty laid back. The people in GH that were getting trouble are the "look at me" types. If you rev the engines on your powerboat around a group of people you will get stopped Most of the time if you are not a jerk a simple warning and saftey inspection will get you on your way. The Water Enforcement Team are all reserve deputies some are on an ego trip, some do it for fun Sorry for the hi-jack.. back to your regular thread

The trouble spread from the look at me's to any big block powered boat over the last year or two. I know a lot ot non look at me's that got in trouble and will no longer go back.

My boat's quiet so I dont care.

I have been stopped by the water patrol many times, never had a problem. THey are always pretty cool with me.
