Exclamation Help needed! make a wish come true for this kid!

Its that time of year again. I'm training and feel better than ever to help wish kids of michigan get their wishes granted. please take a few minutes and read up on my pages what its all about or search through this thread and find the latestet updates on what 2009 brings.

We made $1,615,085 last year! This year we plan to top that!.

see more here:
https://www.wishmich.org/treverpruyt
PM me for PAYPAL

or go keep looking here for more updates!

Thanks!

My wish hero this year is Keegan!

He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

EVERY PENNY COUNTS!

Below is for 2008. please go past page 3 for 2009 updates.

Every year I am part of a 300 mile bicycle ride from Traverse City, MI to Chelsea MI. I'm posting this to try and get some support from anyone who is willing to help and make a donation so that i may ride this year. I must raise over $700 to ride and need to have the money by the end of this month.

Last year we raised over a MILLION dollars for just MI kids alone, This year our goal is 1.6 Mil.

Donating is easy, you can go to this link:
https://www.wishmich.org/treverpruyt

just click the "SUPPORT ME" button and proceed to donate any amount you wish to give, be it $5 ot $500 (I wish :-P)

If you look at the Header picture at the tree people in the background, The one in the middle is my dad who has been doing this 300 mile ride for over 14 years. Yes he has deer antlers on his helmet as a joke because he was actually hit by a deer the previous year on the ride (that could be a whole new thread).
I am to his right, and another of our team members is to his left.

Make-A-Wish is the ONLY thing my that would get my a$$ on a bike for 300 miles in 3 days.

Thank you much for the support and please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think may help. All dontations go to helping terminally ill children get their wish granted.

-TREVER

I will post pictures after I ride and will also ad more info to this thread as the days count down.

My wish kid 2008, my dad and I

Ok, I have an extra minute. So I can explain the "deer story"

My dad as mentioned above, was riding behind me, we we cruising about 20-25 mph and we both heard something to the left across the road. by the time he looked, he was being T-boned by a deer at full speed crossing the road.
By the time i looked back i saw my dad flying through the air, I'd say he flew a good 10-15 feet without touching ground. i slammed on brakes and turned around to see him laying there still face down, I didn't know if he was alive or dead.
He moved and groaned so I knew we was alive. Medics came (Thank you Axemen Motorcycle Club)
All in all he broke his helmet in half and got a flat tire. he got a ride to lunch and i believe finished out 30-50 miles that day, and the first 30 miles of the next day. He couldn't keep food down and got checked by medics again to find out he had a slight concussion. we both got ride to end and I drove him to hospital to get a full checkout. He was fine minus the concussion.

A day or two later the worst part showed its face. Poison Ivy! he landed in the stuff and was rolling in it and nobody noticed. he had to get a shot and take over a week off because he couldn't move. It was on his whole body, the worst was his arms which were 2x normal size.
He healed and rode the next year and will be this year also.

Long story short:
guy gets hit by deer while riding bike, gets concussion, rides more, goes to hospital, then home. finds out hes got the worst case of poison ivy most people will ever see.

Thanks again if you donate.. and please do. every dollar helps.

I need my minimum $750 in by July 1st to reserve my spot. This thing has gotten huge(over 700 riders) and they have to limit them now.. when my dad started there was about 30 riders.

You can visit http://netcommunity.wishmich.org/NET...d=183&srcid=-2
to join up but I'm sure this year is already full. You have to register early and i think registration was around $75 for early and more than that for late registration.

Just got back from a practice ride and thought I'd also mention the party.

FREE PARTY!

There is also a free party to attend at the of the ride. If the wish child is able they come and give us medals at the end. It is a great feeling to be able to meet the child you sponsor!

Heroes Hurrah is the ending celebration and finish line location for the Wish-A-Mile (WAM) 300 Bicycle Tour. Over 2,000 individuals attend, cheering on the event participants of the three-day ride. As riders cross the finish line they are greeted by their wish heroes as well as a heart warming ceremony.

Date: Sunday July 27, 2008

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: Chelsea Fairgrounds in Chelsea MI

Activities: Food / Music / Family Fun / Kids Activities

What to Expect: Countless smiles

BE A PART OF IT . . . attend, volunteer or sponsor the Celebration!

I'd donate in a heartbeat if I had more than $29 to my name, or had a job.
