Default Hello

New here from the Hopkins/Wayland area. Look forward to participating in discussions and learning a lot.

Incase your interested my ride right now is a Trailblazer. Not exactly the most extreme offroad vehicle but it does fine on most of the local two tracks and I bought it more/less to get me to work in the winter. Allegan county doesn't like to plow their roads.

Welcome!

What year is your Trailblazer, and how is it set up? My tow vehicle for my Jeep trailer is a 2007 Trailblazer with 5.3 V8, 3.73 gears, stock tires, and rear locker. I've always wondered how it would do off-road, but haven't taken it on anything other than two-tracks yet.

Mine is a 04. It is stock with the 4.2 I6, 3.42 rear end and unfortunately no locker. I have so far only taken it on two tracks but it has done much better than some of my friends thought it would. I wish I had the G80 locker but I just try and remember to keep all 4 on the ground.

Not sure how familiar you are with Barry country two tracks but i've been all over "old parmalee road" with it and I did almost all of it in 2wd.

For future mods I would like to get at least 3 or 4 inches of lift and some larger tires.

Thanks!

I think the I6 is one of the best engines GM has ever made. It may actually be one of the best engines period. It won quite a few awards when it first came out and i've heard of people transplanting them into other trucks/suv's. So far i'm pretty happy with it.

i would agree with the i-6 being a great engine. too bad they couldn't be the base engine for the half ton trucks.

Ever since I got mine, I've been checking to see if anyone makes a mild lift for one. Haven't found one yet. If you hear of one, I'd appreciaate it if you would post it here.

I only know of one so far. BDS Suspension makes a 2" body lift and a 2" suspension lift. Some people have done custom lifts. You should check out Trailvoy.com i'm on there all the time. I post with the same username as here. It's a great source of info for anything related to the GMT360 platform.

Here is a thread that shows a couple users "slightly" modded Trailblazer and Envoy.
