"Announcement" up top helpful, or annoying?

There are certain get togethers that are a blast, and everybody should know about, but not everyone reads the meet/greets or trail ride forums.

Is it annoying to have an announcement (only one) for an upcomming event on all forums?

I'm not talking about putting up a lunch meet and greet, but any large gathering or trail ride..

I don't see why it'd be a bad thing, considering it keeps some of us informed when we forget to check the trail rides section.

Perfect location for it. It isn't obnoxious but highly visible.

Judging by the poll results, I'm not the only one that thinks you did a good job on picking a better location for it.

Meet-n-greets/trail rides has been up for awhile, my opinion is that if people are't looking at it then they are not interested or have something else to do. I look at it all the time, (not that I can drive) but if it's nearby and can make the effort. I would go to more of these.

True, but this can serve as a reminder to some of the threads that get pushed down due to lunch m&g's and other general day-to-day things. Keeps us informed of the big events coming up.
