Default Hope?

I am hurting too. the xj only gets 12 mpg I am burning $160 a week before i even get a chance to play. We have to have a turn around soon though with chrysler offering $2.99 a gallon gas for the first 12k miles they cant eat that cost. even if they do some major fleet discount i cant imagine that is alot of cash to throw away and american automakers are hurting enough already. something has got to change soon though. thats all i know for sure

from what I read in the fine print of the last ad. featuring that price guarantee it's capped at 12k miles per year? at 25 mpg, that's 480 gallons @ roughly $1.00 per in savings that's less than the average incentive plan costs the "big three"....

oh, i wasnt sure exactly, I just know that seemed kinda odd, but i guess that is a good way to sell cars if it doesnt hurt them too much. but somebody still needs to do something about these d*** gas prices

I just lit a cup of gas on fire with a $50 bill. It was cheaper.

$44 to fill up the Focus today, and that's going to last ~320 miles/ 1 week of commuting.

If this keeps up, I'll inflate my tires to 60#, install a tornado air intake, fill my tank with acetone, remove my outside mirrors, and drive naked to improve fuel economy.

I've also contemplated the moped idea. I can take slower back roads to work. under 1k for a used one, for me it would pay for itself in no time.

I had thought if I got a horse it would eat the grass and that negate me having to cut the grass. win/win.

I was wondering the same thing. I had a horse and we didn't feed it hay at all during the summer. Just 2 cups of grain a day.
