Default Just got back from Moab....Pics

What's up guys....I just got back a few days ago from Moab with my off road club. We spent about 10 days out west and 6 of wich were in Moab. What made this trip so hardcore (IMHO) is that I decided to drive my 1986 CJ7 from Duluth MN (fully loaded with parts tools and camping gear) out there.....wheel the piss out of it and then I drove it home. Almost 3000 miles round trip and the only thing I broke was a rear shock tower. And Man does Nebraska suck a$$, not only did it suck the will to live from my soul, it sucked the fricken gas right out of my tank because of a damn head wind (9 MPG in nebraska) here is a few pics and a link to view all of them....Enjoy oh and never mind the dates, they are wrong. http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p34/mblackmarr/Moab/

this coming up to Devil's crack on Moab Rim (pretty intense trail)

Here is one of me in Golden Crack

view from our camp site

And a random shot from Poison Spider Mesa ....man is it pretty out there

Man and I thought the 600 mile round trip to drummond every year sucked in my CJ. I can't imagine 3,000... Very nice pictures I would like to go to moab one day myself. I think I want to do the rubicon trial first though.

Don't continue on the porcupine trail east towards the snowy la sal mtns. I found out the hard way that it turns into a mountain bike only trail near the eastern most part of the loop.

Love that place plan on going back within 3 years. Take a tour through Arches you can legally wheel off the paved paths on many marked trails.

It takes money and a big commitment to go out there and wheel a DD. The first time I went I spent lots of time planning and stressing.

The second through fifth trips were much easier.

Nice pics!

Oh and just an FYI Nebraska sucks no matter what your driving! That has got to be one of the most boring states to drive thru! The only one I can think of that is worse is Texas from east to west is almost 900 boring ass miles!
