So does this mean I can now go for a ride in your jeep without transfer cases exploding?

Nope. Plans are for an Atlas or Stak 3 speed this fall. In the mean time the heavily gussetted 231 is the weak link.

Ok, I will continue to carry a spare 231 on the trails for you to use as necessary.

Just won't be ready. I made a commitment to the offroad community to spearhead the development of OSTC. I was up there 2 weeks ago, will be there this weekend and probably next weekend. It comes down to priorities and integrity.

The jeep still needs the hydro assist lines hooked up, all the brakes, fan shroud, new mount for the ecm and air filter, the driveshafts won't be here till Wednesday and we have to attach the carrier bearing, :chiefwoohaw::chiefwoohaw::chiefwoohaw:

I still have to take it to have the exhaust done and there is also no skid plate at this time.

To plan on driving 10+ hours and wheel it hard with a rig that has never been put through it's paces just doesn't make sense.

Harlan will have to wait till this fall.

I thought it would be lower or more tire stuff with no charge in them. Looks just right on width too.
