Scofflaw - You mention NP-208 t-cases. That truck had a NP-219 in it when I looked at it at Denny's. Are your cases from different vehicles? I just wanted to clarify.

Thanks,
Craig

yeah the 219 is in it and still moves but I'm pretty sure the chain in it is on it's last link. due the tranny issue Denny let me have a couple of 208's he had laying around but I never got around to putting one in, ( I would have had to lenthen the rear driveshaft about 4"). I'm pretty sure they bolt up to the 727 I think I checked spline count when I got them.

No thanks. I'm not a ford man. I would love to keep this J10 and do something with it but I have enough projects with my other 3 vehicles. Maybe you should drag that truck to scrap throw another couple hundred on and you could buy this thing.

The body on this Ford is way too clean to scrap!Any way,I figured if your just parting this j,you could part the Ford instead,WAY bigger market for Ford parts,WAY cleaner body.I currently have a beater LWB J 10,6cyl 4 speed, and the frame is getting bad,NO floor left,ect......this would be a fine replacement

The Bed is solid. The Box is not. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

J truck Rick
There are parts I want to steal off this Truck. The frame is solid exept the rear spring mounts and where the drivers side rear spring front mount is located there is a weak spot where the bolt goes through the frame. I have made new spring mounts for the front side of the rear springs and have a peice to fix the frame itself just never got around to fixing it. I'll give you the frame at scrap price. The floor however has some good size holes although I would still consider them fixable, but I'm a tinknocker by trade.

I am in need of your front springs for my '82 J10.
I had an accident around New Years and am starting to put it back together.
My passenger side front spring has the top leaf broke.

What is the 5th digit in the VIN of your J10?
This would tell what the GVWR for a 1980 model J10.
For 1981 and above it is the 8th digit

I just talked to J Truck Rick a few minutes ago. He's going to take axles frame and body of this thing. He said He's pretty sure he has what you need and that the springs on this truck are not what you want. Give him a shout.
