Unhappy No Brakes!!!!!!

well my old man went out last night and changed the breaks on his F250 ( ABS) he called me after he was all done and said "this dam thing is not stopping right now" I ask if he opened the bleeders befor taking a C-clamp to the calipers and he said NO I FORGOT !!!


did he kill his ABS unit

If air got into the ABS unit, it needs to be bled with a NGS...Ford Scan Tool. That is the only way to get the air out(of the ABS).

yes he does have pads on it

no air in the abs unit

he squished brake fluid through the abs unit backwards does that fu$$ things up

I doubt he messed up his abs. Besides even with the abs messed up the brakes would still work. They would just lock up instead of anti-locking. I been doing my brakes on my F-250 since I bought it. I never open the bleeder up. Because the abs works by electronics not off the brake fluid.

Bleed the brake system. All four corners start at the one farthest from the master cylinder. This would be the passenger rear. Then do the driver rear, then passenger front, finishing with the driver front.
