Default Does anyone use T-Mobile?

My cell contract is up next week. I'm moving to the Detroit area. I'd like to stay with Alltel, but they're pretty expensive, and Alltel stores are non-existent in the southeast part of Michigan. T-Mobile looks relatively inexpensive, and I've had them before and their customer service was good, but I'm not sure about their coverage around Detroit. I know it sucks in the U.P. Anyone have any experience with it? If not, what cell service do you recommend?

T-mobile sucks around the west side of metro detroit (A2 area).....

I have cingular, it works everywhere down there (edit: Pretty much everywhere in the state for that matter), and I very rarely every have a service issue. Verizon is great as well....to be totally honest, the price between the two for me would be the deciding factory as they both work great

Had T-Mobile for the past five years works fine for me but I don't travel a ton. It works up north at my cabin, at my house, and in my car what more do I need ;)

Our whole company switched this year from a mix of plans. Have not heard many complaints after we got the repeater in the bldg which is pretty wacked being so close to Crooks and 75.

Default Hmmmmm

My T-Mobile Rocks...

Get yer updates and Firmware....along with the right network for your phone...GRPS, GPS, etc.

They have the best rates for data (net, email), and they up north used to suck for where I go (Cheboygan and Alpena), but it's got much better

They had GRPS last year up north.....which is what you need for the net and email....while Verizon had none yet (as of last summer)

I have had t-mobile for the last 4 years with no problems at all. After I moved to Carleton I switched to sprint because I got a shitty signal at my house, well after about a year my daughter (t-mobile) got a signal at my house and I felt like a jackass with sprint pressing my head against a window trying to get a signal. Needless to say I'm back with t-mobile and couldn't be happier.......I'm wondering where all the t-mobile haters are coming from????

Verizons Awesome... Never had a problem with service and everytime i've had a problem with phones they've replaced it free no questions asked... Prob the most expensiive but 100x better than T-mobile

Metro PCS could be a good option for you too tho

I've had t-mobile since way before they were t-mobile. Probably 8-9 yrs now. I have never had a problem with them. Great service, great prices. About 2 yrs ago they signed an agreement w/ a few other companies to use their towers. Since then, I get coverage almost everywhere. It's rare NOT to have coverage. No roaming either, since I have a nation wide plan. No extra hidden fees or stupid charges. My plan is 49.99 for 2 phones and 500 min. and my bill is never more than 54-56 bucks.

What phones have you used? Did you get service all the way across the U.P.?
