Now tell them the truth. Before you went in that room you were looking at nude pictures of me again. You have got to quit getting all hot and bothered over me. Geeez!

Glad you are okay. Make sure you get it checked out with additional testing, just in case. We actuallly hope to keep you around a lot longer.

I had something once where I was sweating horribly, my vision was messed up and everything started to go black. I had to go inside and sit down and get a drink of cold water. Eventually I couldn't see anything but once I sat and drank the water and cooled off, it got better. Granted it was summer and I was outside running around but it was weird.

From the link above :

Causes and Risk Factors of Vasovagal Syncope
Syncope (fainting) or presyncope (faintness or feeling faint before fainting) is usually brought about by low blood pressure with reduction of blood flow to the brain.

Vasovagal syncope is frequently recurrent and tends to take place during emotional stress (especially in a warm, crowded room), after an injurious, shocking accident, and during pain. Mild blood loss, poor physical condition, prolonged bed rest, anemia, fever, organic heart disease, and fasting are other factors which increase the possibility of fainting in susceptible individuals.

That's scary. My girlfriend gets similar symptoms sometimes. hmmmm.

basically looks like it can be cuased by anything giving you stress....I wonder if this is why people (like me) pass our from needles or nasty cuts.

I'd look at your diet that day-were you upset about something?-Hot or dehydrated?

i dont know anything about medicine but thats what I'm reading..........

No, it can basically onset from anything, there was a whole list online - peeing, pooping, giving blood, stress, extreme emotions, dehydration, etc. for me I was just feeding an 86 yr old patient... not stressful or anyhthing and blood tests prove I wasnt dehydrated so theyre thinking it was just from standing or a random nerve glitch.

And being a woman, I have had similar experiences when I'm on my period, but not to this extent, never went into shock :tonka: just had loss of BP and fuzzy vision and it would always quickly passes when I sit down.

I feel totally normal today, last night I had a killer headache though, and I have been PEEING alllllllllll day and night. I think I've pee'd 11 times since they tried to 'hydrate' me (before the bloodtest came back yesterday proving I was allready hydrated) they gave me a liter of juice and its been coming out ever since

My sister had an episode of this while working in the hospital also, she drank on the them friggin 5 hour energy things, The massive amounts of vit B in them made her blood pressure bottom out.
Hopefully they can figure it out.

Funny, that's all I got from this thread too.

Actually, I had an old classmate w/ a severe heart murmur that caused exactly what you've explained. I remember it being random and happening a handful of times in grade school. Just symptoms are hard to go on, but it's a possiblility:

Some people with heart murmurs do have signs and symptoms of a heart problem. The signs and symptoms may include: (Not all people w/ heart murmurs have symtoms at all)

Blue coloring of the skin, especially on the fingertips and inside the mouth
Poor eating and failure to grow normally (in infants)
Fast breathing
Excessive sweating
Chest pain
Dizziness
Shortness of breath
Fainting
Fatigue (feeling very tired)

Haha thats funny.

One of the guys at work is a big fitness nut. He drinks like 2 quarts of water a day.....to mock him another guy in the office drank a gallon of water yesterday morning.

I think he had to pee every 10 minutes

I used to get these about once a year, same symptoms except i would break out in these patchy red spots and they would itch. After about 10 minutes i would be fine. Weird, haven't gotten one in a while.

Yeah, I've had that one or two times as well. Thought at the time it was something allery related.

Its funny how some of this stuff you never really hear about, but its more common than you think.

Pretty crazy. Kate was telling me about that several weeks ago because it was getting discussed in one of her classes.

Glad to hear you're alright!

Yeah the dizziness and "white" blurry vision is exactly what I had for over ten years before getting treated for Atachardyia (sp) with catheter ablation of the short circuit in my heart. However, my heart rate would race really really high opposite of your condition. I would have an episode every three months or so and they would last 1-3min.

Hope you get diagnosed and treated asap

yeah i had the same thing happen to me at my friend's funeral. we were standing outside and it was hot. I'm sure that didn't help things much. he was a volunteer firefighter so there were EMT's everywhere. they all told me to get a "tilt" test and a
stress test too. of course I didn't. maybe I should...
when I almost passed out the EMT's were checking for my heartrate and they couldn't even get a pulse. after about a minute and some cool water they finally got the equiptment to check my BP and it was fine. it was f'ed up tho. if you get checked out you should let us know what they say

that is scary stuff. I am glad you are ok. at least you were at the hospital. during the holidays we were on the way to dinner. as I left the house I took my evening insulin injection. tested my bsl (98) and left. on the way to the restaurant we decided to stop at toys r us to pick something up real quick as it was on the way. it was so busy in there and we got delayed and I could not find the wife. it was so hot in there I began to sweat. this is not good. I told my daughter we had to get to car immediately. on the way back to the front of the store severe hypoglycemia set in. estimating the bsl was around 35 (has to be below 40 before I show symptoms-side affect so the medical forumers need not yell) vision almost gone and decision making not good in the middle of a insanely busy store I sat on the floor and told my daughter, 5, to sit in my lap. not really the same as I knew what was going on and that it would pass, but scary none the less
