I live by Grand Rapids and about a year ago I was having problems like you and it turned out to be a bad dslam box way down in Kalamazoo. They need to come to your house and test your line (INSIST) on it. Talk to peoples supervisors and get someone to your house, that is the only way you are going to get the problem fixed. I went rounds and rounds with rebooting modems and one tech told me to clear my cookies? WTF I am pretty dam computer savy and when he said that I had a melt down...I told him cookies has nothing to do with my dam dsl going at dialup speeds!

damn, we have 6MB DSL but never hit it, but have 2 T1's as a backup and one for VOIP.

According to Speedtest we are getting 1.7 down and 421 up, horrible for a business that most of the workers are doing VPN to another network.

Yeah it is there 6MB package, 6MB down and 768K up. You should only lose about 1MB for overhead (LINE DISTANCE) thats why my download speed is about 5MB and my upload speed is about 600K. The thing is it is always that fast even if everyone in my neighborhood is downloading. If you are paying for 6MB service their guarantee is you will be somewhere between 3MB and 6MB so if you cant connect at over 3MB you need to call them!

I'll have to take a look at our contract, it's a business line so I'm not sure if anything is different. But that would be great to be up to 3MB.

Welp, a lot of sites are working pretty good, but some don't hardly work at all!

What would cause this? I can't even use my yahoo mail! It won't open my mail, and if it does, I can't compose or send mail. And MySpace barely works too
