Default front axle gear swap

need to change the gears in my front axle from 4:23 to 4:10s. anyone done this before? if so, what do i need, how much time required, any frequent problems, etc.?

4.23 are you sure. never heard of that. there are many tools your going to need in order to do this correctly i highly advise you to have some one who has done a gear swap walk you through it the first time.

TJ, count the number of teeth on the ring gear and pinion gear. 4.23 was never offered in, well, anything. Do you mean 4.27?

Its not really a thing for thte uninitiated to try. PM KillerB in our club for details of what is required.

A small reduction like that is not worth the cost/effort. Use it as an excuse to go up in tire size instead.

yeah i meant 4.27. sorry. reason im switching is that the rears are already 4.10's and i need them to match so i don't fukc shit up. will pm killerb. thanks Jesus .
