Default Question for guitar players - strap locks

What are the best strap locks out there? The Schallers look pretty beefy, but I have no experience with them.

If not the Schaller locks, what kind would you get?

Also, what are some good, strong straps? I've broke cheap ones, looking for something that will hold up.

I always thought the Schaller locks were overcomplicated- I used them on a Ric 4001 bass, and hated them. And The 4001. I've used the Dunlops- they are cheap, and last. I played approx 800 gigs on the set on my primary Bass, and had no problems. As far as straps, I still use the Ernie Ball Nylon straps that I bought 10 years ago.

I use the regular dunlap straplocks and have also gigged with them. No problems here

I have Dunlops as well, I believe they ended up on my dad's '76 P-bass. Good stuff.

either works, its more of a personal preference, just be sure to use them as i have seen more than one nice guitar dropped or nearly so because they were nt useing any straplocks
