Yup, I carry a hub socket with me all the time even though I haven't had a joint problem since I went to the 60's 6 years ago. Keep in mind that your D44 joint is the same as a D30 joint. Chromo axles & Yukon super joints will solve your problem. :thumb:

will certainly help. I ran yukons with spicers for 3 years on 37s and had no issues. I wheeled it smart, but wasn't afraid to use the skinny pedal when needed (only had the 4.3 then)
10-4 ! and for all those that are still reading, Jim is still up ! I convinced a friend (the one that you posted the video that said "Nice Sounding Jeep" that has a 400+ hp SBC in it) to go with RCV's in his 30 and for the most part he has been happy, but I think I will disregard my own "past" recommendations and go with a 60 if I BREAK another axle shaft u-joint. (Jared please start building a narrowed D-60 with that funny passenger side drop) :sonicjay:
Serioisly, this is one of those years, that I could wheel this again twice right now. Like, I'm trying to figure out maybe heading back up soon. :sonicjay:

Depending on how much snow tomorrow's storm brings, I was thinking about going up Sunday. Not that it's been any less fun, but several years later we've yet to get our whole route completed in a weekend. We were just getting into the real deep snow when we had to come to our senses and skedaddle back for the banquet! I'd like to give it a shot with another 10-12"+ of snow
I couldn't get up there till mid afternoon tomorrow so I can't make it. But it would be fun.
Thinking about going out and doing donuts on the lake instead...
Most of the time I was up there I was either intoxicated or hungover. I did however manage to make it on time to registration and the drivers meeting. :finger:
