A picture of the victim should have been posted with my original post. Not that scumbag.

She was a beautiful person. More so when you met her and got to know her.

This is a favorite picture of her as it displays the typical greeting you got from her. A big BRIGHT smile and positive attitude.

REMUS, Mich. (WOOD) - The search for a man wanted in connection with a murder in Grand Rapids has reached Mecosta County.

Sean McLafferty, 34, is considered armed and dangerous. Grand Rapids police issued a murder warrant for him on Tuesday, a day after they found 32-year-old Kristie Rae Percey's body dead in a garage stall at a northeast side apartment complex.

Other West Michigan authorities were notified to be on the lookout for McLafferty and a vehicle he may have been driving -- a 2010 silver, four-door Chevrolet Impala, a rental, with Tennessee license plate 288YKB.

Mecosta County sheriff's deputies spotted that vehicle around 11 p.m. Tuesday near M-66 and Cypress Road, south of Remus. The man behind the wheel, believed to be McLafferty, get out of the car, with a shotgun, and run into the nearby woods.

Michigan State Police, K-9 units and other local agencies set up a perimeter with the sheriff's department. They even brought in a helicopter to help find McLafferty.

24 Hour News 8 has a crew at the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.

That's about the best way for it to end. We don't have to pay to house him forever, and an officer doesn't have to deal with the grief of taking a life.

I wish the best for all of her friends and family. Hopefully they will be able to deal with this to the best of their ability, and move on with their lives.
