Anyone use them? Right now Summit has the Supreme Locking Hubs on sale. Part # MMK-449SS On sale for $94.50 regular $165.95. Haven't ever used Mile Markers, I've always used Warns.
What kind of vehicle? Mine are gonna be going on my BBC blazer that's only really for mud and the occasional parks and trail rides. It's gonna get a locker this winter to.
Do not buy these hubs, you will spend more time fixing than wheeling. They are $99 for a reason. When they do break (and they will) and you get to see the parts inside that are supposed to put your 500 ftbs to the ground you will be very disappointed with the design. I broke one of these at Dog Party a few years ago with only 40' Iroks and spent the rest of the day struggling, then broke the other later that day trying to get it on the trailer. I've been through many sets of these.
I run the Stainless MM hubs on two different Excursions with 35's, One has a V-10 and the other a 7.3 Diesel with mods. Been good to me no problems at all. Love em'
Last time I saw him in his rig, his wife was driving (and having a blast!!!)
I run them on my tow rig/DD. It's fine for hauling the trailer through crappy roads a a little dune running once in a while, but I would never use them for serious wheeling. get some Warn premiums from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and never look back.- or go 1 step further and go with some solid slugs.
In my opinion the cheap warns are the best bang for the buck. Do they break? Yes they do, still got a warranty on them, cheaper than the premium ones and easier to get.
See all the people that don't like them wheel a hell of a lot harder than i do. I don't do rocks, don't have the finesse for that. I just like to trail rig and run in the mud.
I was one of the victims of a broken D60 hub at Twisted. I've had mine for 2 years and this is the first issue I've had with them. They are very easy to use...minimal effort to turn unlike some others. In fact, it's just a quarter turn to engage them. I contacted Milemarker and I'm returning the broken hub for replacement...under warranty.
I believe one of the other hubs that broke at Twisted was a Teralow.
the best thing about the eorp drive flanges is the grease zerk.you can put a whole tube in each side and definetly helps to keep the mud out and the bearings alive. jimmy builds some nice stuff.
Some day i will be drive flanges but until my 30spline stubs break I'll stay w/ the lockouts. There more expensive for the 35 spline ones for some reason??
Do yourself a favor and sell your 30 spline outers, buy some stock D70 35 spline spicer outers and run drive flanges. You will wheel more and fix less.
let's see... Club Challenge...pretty sure we took first on the Long Crawl....Lot Crawl kinda sucked because I got hung up on the large log and my winch line broke...but, we still took 4th overall. Took 1st at the Bad Azz Truck Expo in the modified class and 2nd in the Unlimited class...Wheeling with Orange pile and Chop at Drummond...enough said!!!!! Now I'm going to have to sign up for the TT Trail Master Challenge...
