Is there a way to repair my 3 ton floor jack, it pumps up but leaks down fairly quickly. i really don't wanna spend 140 bucks on a new jack if i can fix the one i have for cheap. it's probably 6 years old and a kobalt model. i'm hoping i can just reseal it.

look and see if there is a rebuild kit for the pump available (should have new all needed seals in it) and git er done

There should be a model for the pump stamped on the cylinder somewhere.

Taking one in somewhere to be fixed nowadays is about the same cost as a new one :(

lol, he paid over 50$ just for the seals and parts and many hours for a 40 year old jack. I will stick with my 3ton harbor freight special i got for 55$ 3 years ago and still works as well as new. Some people have too much time on their hands
