Ok so like the title says I am fighting with a rear axle rotor that won't come off. I have done heat I have hammered on both sides and am even attempting to do this http://youtu.be/mtsTJCRljAs it appears the rotor is stuck to the axle shaft end. I am losing my mind right now any hints tips and tricks would be great.
Mix ATF and acetone 50/50 in a squirt bottle. Drench it down and let it sit. That is the best penetrant I have ever used. It may do nothing but it won't hurt.
What did you use for heat? Propane/butane alone would take forever to heat it up. Oxy/acy or oxy/pro and a hammer used properly to heat the correct area will have it off in no time
So it was not hanging up on the parking break since I never re installed them. However that video I posted did the trick in under 20 minutes both sides were off. Grade 8 bolts 1/4 x 20 bolts and a ton of washers. Pro tip make sure you put a lug nut on or the rotor will go flying!!
