His name is Rufas, he weighs 139.6 #'s and is 12 years old.
His hips are failing and he has perianal adenocarcinoma (cancer).
Rufas has been sick for about 6 months, and as you can imagine, with cancer his health has been declining rapidly.
Tomorrow will be our last day with Rufas. We're going to have him cremated and will add his ashes to the landscape at his favorite camping spot.
I'm so sorry to hear this. My 7 yr old German Shepard is not doing too well either. It's a hard thing to go thru. I tell ya I think I'd rather lose my wife than my dog. That's how hard it is going to be for me.
Sorry to hear that, our Yellow lab is 12 and her hips are starting to get bad. Hate to think about her being gone, she grew up with our kids going to be hard on them when it comes time.
So sorry to hear. We had a little mutt that we got when we first got married. We had to put him down at age 14. God, that was hard to do. Since then, we have lost 2 labs & are on our third.
I don't wish this on anyone, it's gut wrenching. Remember the fun.
