Not into commercial building code, but it wouldn't suprise me. That retainment wall area has had special building code requirements for many, many decades.
The shark is a nice touch,..........but I'm afraid the biggest, meanest critter to pop up from this flood so far is a snapping turtle that washed up at the outlet of the river.
We had a flood on one of our roofs (clogged drains) years ago. We have thick glass along one wall of the roof and water came up about 14 inches onto the glass. We did not get a leak of water inside for the few hours it was that high. I'm more surprised the roof held the weight.
There was a blip on the news last night about that turtle. One of the talking heads was saying you can tell how big that turtle is just by looking at the picture, and I thought to myself, yeah, and if I had a bigger TV it would look like it looked even bigger.
That's great...however your post is totally fucking worthless without pics:whiz:oke::drink:republicans:teehee::brilliant:sparks::beerbang::blah::usa:republicansdemocrats:thumb:
There was an interview with Dr. Gary Anderson (Anderson eye care) where Dr. Anderson was explaining the awesome windows.
I can't find that news clip now.
Dr. Anderson is also the submitter of the Pike photo.
I saw a microscope slide of water taken from the Grand River yesterday and it looks real similar to what I see in slides I make at work of untreated water (I work at a wastewater treatment plant). I don't think I would want to be riding a jetski or a wakeboard in that water.
