If you are going to drive it on the street, do yourself a favor and stay away from a powerglide. Either use a th350 or th400, if you want an automatic.

Sounds a lot like dads motor was, but we had to change heads this year. One of the heads cracked down where they couldn't get in to weld it up right :-(
I figured peak HP was up there a little ways with that top end combined with the ci. Should sound awesome! Gonna be a lot of fun
