I found this yesterday on state land in Newaygo County, 8 miles or so west of Big Rapids.
Pics really don't do justice, it's just a cheapo camera.
Pictures really don't do justice. There are easily 10,000 shell casings strewn all over the fucking place, empty ammo boxes, shot up tv's, radios, etc.
It's a fucking wasteland. I spent about 2 hours picking shit up today, and plan on heading back there tomorrow.
Anyone in the area that would like to help, the help would be appreciated.
I did find some reciepts with EBT numbers and partial credit card numbers, who can pull those numbers up and find out who caused this shit?
It is bullshit like this that gets land closed for public use.
Is this just off of 9 mile, just west of airborne auto salvage? Because im a freshman at ferris, and if this is the 2-track im thinking of, it really needs help.
If you go out there and pick any of that up, MAKE SURE you collect any identifying info available.
Be on the look out for meth making materials too.
Keep a safe distance and call the police if you find any of these things!
I can give you tips on how to have those people taken care of.
This is exactly what we have been combating in Muskegon and Oceana counties through the Two Trackers Forest Clean Up for 13 years.
Unfortunately disposal of all that junk will have to come out of someones pocket.
I think the cost of a trailer of junk to the dump is around $20 call your local dump for pricing.
Good luck to you guys.
Call the operators of your local landfill and tell them what you are doing, Youd be surprised what they will do for a little positive community PR. Then get some local news outlet to run a story on what your doing and make sure you mention the generosity of the landfill.
it is amazing how many area's like that are actually on state land. Our club is working on putting a forest cleanup together in the Allegan State Game area. There is a rediculous amount of trash out there all over the place.
Toivo, it's awesome that you're taking it upon yourself to clean that mess. Thanks to all that helpout. If you have to pay at the landfill, post up about it and I'll donate some $$.

Toivo
you get a GL4X4 hero's badge (after the site administrators create one HINT-HINT) for good community deeds!:rock:
we have summer-use property in s.newaygo county and it always makes me nervous as hell going up there in spring and hoping some ******** haven't moved in for the winter or torn the siding off for their wood burner.
people like the ones littering your piece of heaven are in that gray area between bigfoot and human.
with all those casings laying around it's probably best to not go there alone. i sometimes get a shiver and nervous feeling just driving fire trails and seasonal roads near the city of newaygo.
Hey man im gonna try and make it. I think i might have busted a tie rod last night. So i have to take my wheel off and look around for a little bit. Hopefully get it fixed.
4 Tv's, two beds, a TON of bagged trash, a microvave, etc.
Found about 12 hillbillies out there causing more mess, set them in their place.
Thanks to joshchildress, XLJetsFan52, and his buddy, and the two nameless ******** that stayed around to help clean up their mess.
Now to get rid of this shit
Theres still more to do, and I will be organizing another run in a few weeks to take care of the rest. We ran out of trash bags and truck capacity for today.
