My build thread on my 1993 Ford Explorer.

1st day home.

Engine 4.0 v6
Trans a4ld auto
T- case B/W 1354E
Front Axle Dana 35 open, 3.73 gears
Rear Axle Ford 8.8, l/s, 3.73

Front : HP Dana 60, 5.38 gears, Lockright Locker, hi steer, hydro assist.
Rear : Dana 60, 5.38 gears, A locker ?, Disc brakes.
Front Susp. : Custom leaf spring or ?
Rear Susp. : Leaf Spring
Tires : 38.5 TSL Boggers
Wheels : 16x8 or 16x10, with weld on bead locks.

I plan building custom bumpers F/R and Exo-cage, Warn winch front and some other things.

Nope. The front 1/4 panels won't line up with it (turn signal area). A Gen II Ranger grill and Explorer grills (of the body style pictured above) will swap though. And unfortunately you can't change the 1/4 panels out to the Ranger either because of a crease on the Ranger panels. the explorers do not have this crease so it will look pretty strange.

Now you could technically fill it in or patch some sheet steel over it, but that's a fair amount of work for something that is ultimately just going to end up getting severe trail rash anyways.

you're not the first to ask, many a people's hopes and dreams have been dashed by the above information. :(
