I just looked it up, pretty cool, I'd do one in .40. I'd have to get one without the 9.5" barrel extension. I'd just add a suppressor to the end of it to get to 16"
Why do that? That barrel extension is already a permanently attached suppressor... You're looking at the baffles. You get your stamp and order the "shroud" and end cap to mount on it and you have an integrally supressed carbine.
The fixed suppressor internals adding to the barrel length to make it a long gun is an interesting idea, especially in a no-SBR-fun state like MI.
Are there many suppressors that the outer can can be removed separately with the internals still fixed on the barrel? Because now that I'm thinking of it, you could buy something like a pistol length AR upper (or any short barrel) and permanently attach the suppressor making it a legal length rifle.
Yes, sort of...any good suppressor will come apart, in fact I'm in the process of this right now...I purchase two suppressors and I've been waiting about a 8 months now and still don't have my tax stamp...should have 4 more months to go
It's nice, and it's probably even $2000 nice, but I'd have a hard time not just doing a 9mm AR carbine or pistol for less than half the price. What was the guy on MGO priced at?
No AR will have the same features as this pistol caliber specific carbine though. That's what makes it so different and is exactly why I want it so badly.
I called the vendor on MGO that said he had one and left a message. I don't see how he could possibly have one already. He must be taking pre-orders or something.
Talked to the guy today... HE HAD ONE. He admitted he had no clue what it really was and was absolutely shocked that it sold with two hours of posting it.
God damnit!
Wholesalers are passing these things along in a secret squirrel manner. If any of you guys hears anything PLEASE PM ME ASAP!
The barrel is only like 7" on that carbine. The rest of what you see is the skeleton of the suppressor so the barrel and muzzle is hidden completely behind that quad rail.
Thinking this one might have to go on the back burner.
The 9MM conversion kit for the Tavor is out now.
