I just sold my YFZ 450 and now I'm regretting it. . Out of the blue today someone called me and said a friend of mine told them I had a race quad for sale. I said I might. They asked the price and ask if they could look at it after work, I agreed. They came after work and looked at it and said ok they will take it. So they loaded it up and paid me and left. Now I'm regretting selling it ,even though I didn't ride it last year at all . I am getting older and do not race mx anymore . But I will not be able to replace it . I had 17k in it and I cannot spend that much on bullshit anymore. I am just venting ,it's probably for the best. Anyone else sell something and regret it soon after?
Yea that sucks
I just traded my super sweet 81 4x4 toyota with a fresh rebuild FOR SOME PIECE OF WORK beat up ktm 450 that i already have over 250 into and havent even been able to ride it yet. my truck was turn key, a mistake I will never forget

That sucks more than my story. I didn't ride it last year at all , I have to watch the cardio stuff I do now so it's probably for the best it's gone. I have A fib so burning laps on a track is not the smartest thing anymore. But it reminds me of what I used to be able to do.. On the plus side I can lift weights according to my Dr. So I am getting ripped . That sucks about your yota though ,I feel for you.
I have sold a few guns that I wish I would have kept. All replaceable but one. I will never forget it. I also sold my grandpas John Deere model B. I didn't have anyplace to store it at the time and was leaving for school. I should have found someone to store it. I won't ever be able to track it down as I never got the buyers info from the auction.
I have plenty of stuff that I miss, but none I really regret. I overthink every big(and most small) decision I make, so I rarely have any huge regrets on that stuff. What I mis most is my Scrambler project, but I did make the right choice. I wouldn't be as financally comfortable as I am today and wouldn't have been able to buy my dream house a year ago. Sitting on my comfy couch in front of the wood stove in my log house is definitely nicer than working on my $45k over-built Jeep in my parents' garage:sonicjay:
You didn't ride the quad anymore, so use the money for some responsible stuff, but use some of it for fun stuff too....stuff you'll actually use.
I regret selling my 87 Grand Wagoneer in 2004. It only had about 90,000 miles on it and was still running strong but the little electrical gremlins were starting to frustrate me.
There is nice red YJ on M52 about 5 miles south of I-94... I haven't stopped to look at the frame, but looks really good from the road. I think it was $4900.
There are several cars and a truck I should've kept, but funds were needed in other places. I think about finding them once in a while. Do I want to get them back? Probably not. I built them, had my fun and went on to other things.
Back in 02' I custom ordered a ram 2500 V-10 made just to my specs. 4.10 gears, camper package, stick and so on. I sold it a year later for a new diesel...
Some guy took a greyhound from Texas to Michigan in January with cash and bought it. I ran the vin on carfax a few months ago same guy still owns it and it only has 40k miles on it... I wish I could buy that truck back some day!
My parents told me if its paid off and not costing me money sitting there then there is no reason to get rid of it. Needless to say I don't sell a lot. Oh and yfz's are not real reliable. Fast but not reliable. .02
The little 70's Suzuki RM50 I had as a kid. I don't know why but I still miss that little bike, but it needed work as I think the rings were gone when I finally got rid of it.
sold my XJ a few years ago for pennies on the dollar. while it was time for a change i do regret it because it'll be years, if ever, that i'll get to do something like that again.
had a buddy come over one day, asking what i wanted for the motor in my race car. shot him with what i thought was an out of range number, and the prick had it in his pocket. i was pissed, but honored the deal.
lol, hate it when that happens. Thats how I ending up working for Chrysler the last time. They called me to get me back, I gave them a number I knew they wouldn't meet to get them to go away. I went to go work Camp Jeep in Virginia, came back, and had a fedex waiting with the offer letter meeting my #. Oops, guess I gotta quit my job!
