I built this in the 70's.
It has been on a variety of W200 rigs since. I don't know the weight rating, but it is enough.
4" square tube through 1/2" plate ties the 2" receiver tube to the vehicle frame.
3"x5" square tube runs the length of the bumper, behind the bumper.

I had to extend the back body bolts and inserted big ass valve springs to keep it from cracking the cab. The back corners were trussed with 1/2" plate after I tore them out going to Charlie Mansons bus in panamint valley.
Quite a truck... The friend of the family that had it died recently. I wish I had seen this before so I could show him the picture that I saved on my phone...
