i have a 95 chevy single cab long box the biggest lift i can find is a 6in lift how come i see all these other truck with bigger lifts then then 6in is there something i'm missing here or is that the biggest i can go?
they do make bigger then 6 inch but they are hard to find. i have an 8 inch in mine with a 3 inch body lift but i bought it used. i think anything that you find bigger then that is made more for looks then for strength
With that set up you can run 37's and I've even seen them trimmied to fit 40's. Which is insane on IFS so I don't think you'd need much more. :sonicjay:
a lift is a lift to me. if i were to buy a lift i would probably buy the rough country. really the only difference is ride quality. and some have thicker brackets but if you use it as a dd with some offroad use i dont think you will have a problem with the rough country lift
i don't plan to go muddin really with it i mean theres some mudd where we go fishing but its nothing insane. i was looking at body lifts how come it say only for manual trans or does that not matter?
That shouldnt matter. On the 95 Chevys with auto, you have to pull the carpet up a little, remove a clip that holds your shifter cable in place, and pull the cable from under the truck so it doesnt bind.
i've found many body lifts for my 94' 1500, that are for auto trans. If it makes you feel any more comfortable buying something that stats auto, i know they are out there.
agree, IFS sucks for lift, i wouldn't do anything over 4"
