The ability to sell such a combo at that price range is slim and none.
There is a 60K F150? I went to "build my Ford" at Ford vehicles and the Harley Davidson 4x4 starts at $40,700 and EVERY option including rear DVD, navigation, carpeted bed, full tow, etc was $47,490.
The desire is a v6 diesel capable of a moderate increase in hp and torque with much better fuel economy for a small increase in price to the half ton truck staying under the base of the super duty segment.
you can already buy superduty gassers cheaper than 1/2 ton gasser with the same powertrains, so I don't really know what you are trying to say. The truck market will always have an overlap.
Lets say you want a basic truck, but you need the 5.4L power, ext cab and an 8 foot box.
F150 XLT (lowest options to get a 5.4L)- $34,330
F250 XL - $28,870
F250 XLT - $33,325
