If you don't have a roller cam (88 or 89 is when the switched to roller in the 360) which I don't think you do if I'm remembering correctly from your other posts you should use an oil designed for use in a diesel. The oil made for cars today(including most synthetic) is lacking the addatives that keep your cam from wearing out(even though it would probably take a long time). most of the oils that meet that spec are a 15w40, thats what I run in my old style engines without roller cams. if it's a newer engine than I think you have run whatever it doesn't matter.
