Default Monroe Load-leveler shocks

So I blew out my shocks on the back of the XJ and I was tired of the sagging rear end when I loaded a trailer on the back so I did some searching.

I was going to buy a set of air shocks but I didn't like the idea of air lines hanging out under my Jeep. I found these shocks and they made them for my XJ so I ordered a set.

Installation was easy as I only broke one mounting bolt and I knew how to fix it so that was a breeze. Now just to mention this ahead of time I have a set of 3.5" Rusty's leaves in the back but I relocated my shock mounts further up on the axle for clearance so a set of stock height shocks were used. The shocks are definitely stiffer than my old ones but they have been blown out for quite some time so I'm not sure that even matters.

What I noticed...

They are not the same as a stock shock, the travel is setup completely different.
They actually lifted the back about 1/2".
They are much firmer.
Even with a few hundred pounds in the back I didn't notice the sag like I used to.

The real test will come when I load up a car hauler this summer. Last year it was nearly riding on the bumpstops. I expect that my flex in the rear will be slightly diminished.
