old lines have a major problem, if they are streched and broken inside you can't see the damage. the old lines are braided steel and the inner liners can collapse, if thats happening the line will block the fluid from moving out to the wheel. I have even seen guy use brad nails to plug the steel lines and forget the nails when they bolt the lines down over their plugs.
its something to look for if you have no fluid flow and a solid pedal.
