Default pick n pull amc20 disk brakes...

I am currently compiling a folder of 'research' on info for future mods etc on my 86 cj7. I will probably in the future go with the 1 piece axles and some bracing/welding axle tubes into pumpkin so they won't spin. aside from people saying i am polishing a turd :chiefwoohaw::chiefwoohaw:, i am trying to find out if there is an option for disk brakes in the rear.

i have found one article on a nissan 300zx rear caliper/96 tracker 2dr front rotor on PGH-offroad.com.

my question is, why wouldn't any caliper/rotor assy from the same bolt pattern work? i ahve an extra D30 that would have the same rotor lug pattern, i don't understand brake conversions enough to know why merely making a bracket for the 30 calipers woulddn't work on an AMC 20 axle.

Thanks, that is all class
