hopefully will have the bastard jeep running by this weekend.. wont be finished but motor should be in and the pane setup, along with steering atleast thats my goal..
So far fairly happy, especially that it is driveable, got a list of things yet to do on it.. no exhaust sounds like a rat rod (blap blap blap blap), but excited none the less that it is atleast this far.
Mike, Bad news. Your ?J caught on fire today. I put out the fire the best I could but most of the underhood stuff is toast. It smelt like propane in the shop, you must have had a link or something
soo.. here it is.. a few days before i have to have the jeep ready for badlands..
driving it around a bit.. and all the sudden no power steering... fluid everywhere..
pull it in the shop get to looking around.. oh hey look top of steering box is cracked... oh hey look sector shaft has pushed up about 1/2" .. so now i need to get a steering box.. move it 2" forward change up to inverted t.. all before thursday .. (not to mention fix other odds and ends that i was originally bringing it in to fix) ..
