Default 2003 5.7 Hemi

Well, I just got with the valve spring failure disease that seems to plague the Hemi engines . mine has 44k on it.
Getting a new short block and 1(yes 1) head under the 7/70 warranty.

1) has anyone had a similar spring failure, resulting in valve pieces trashing the cylinder etc.?
2)has dodge come up with a RELIABLE solution to the failing "beehive" shaped springs?
3) what are your thoughts on only 1 replacement head (more than likely re-manufactured and therefor milled flat -.005 to -.020"?

The dealer tells me that Hemi heads cannot be milled down, first head I've ever heard of like this(I think he's full of it). And that the compression difference side to side won't happen!!
What are your thoughts on that??

I'm suddenly feeling like my life long love affair with Mopar may be on the rocks!
