This may have been stated already but the cummins is just plain beefier than a duramax. I am in engines lap right now that happens to have a cummins and duramax both torn down right now. Everything about the cummins is just bigger and stronger than duramax. I know a few people in the 200,000 to 300,000 mile marks with cummins and not problems just adjust the valves and run it. As for the powerstoke why bother if they have had that may problems with the 6.0 already. A guy that works for internation said they arent even expecting to get 150,000 out of the 6.0 thats less than a gasser of today.
