Just picked this up on the cheap. It does run but smokes white smoke lightly on idle, heavy while driving. No brakes (they are there, just don't work). All plastic is there and so is the seat, but very faded. Tires leak, battery is junk, pull start cord is missing.

That being said, we did jump start it and I drove it for 5 minutes or so, reverse works. Part of the problem is it has been sitting for two years so I'm sure the gas is junk. The kid said the previous owner filled the oil res. to the top and then ran it (possible smoke cause?).

I really know nothing about quads (slightly more about jeeps), what have I gotten myself into? I had a '86 250R 3 wheeler back when I was 16 but that was 15 years ago. I was told it would be a good idea to invest in a clymer repair manual to get started. This is gonna be to just putz around in the fields (hence buying it cheap).

Any help is appreciated.
