I have one for my Chevy, There was no noticeable increase in mpg or power with 87 or 93 octane settings. But I bought it mostly to re-program the truck for different size tires and get rid of the top speed limiter. I didn't get any xtra power or mpg from my over-priced K&n (drop in) filter either. I did get 1-2 mpg better and more power from my Flowmaster cat-back exhuast. Next step for me is a cold air induction kit, supposedly gets you the most bang for the buck. Hope this helps, but 4.0L's could act totally different then my 6.0L in regards to the programer.
