can only make them fix it if you can prove its a related problem but I would be leery of any shop saying my radiator needs to be flushed, but then again I do that yearly (thanks to busted hoses blown gaskets or just bad radiators) and my truck will never see the inside of a shop unless I work in it.

You have to remember sometimes codes don't indicate the broken part, some times they just point to whats wrong.
