So I am currently pricing out our restaurant's menu for the upcoming season and I am told that all beef and chicken prices will be at least 20% higher than last year because of the governments push on corn to fuel. Evidently, much of the corn is going to these projects so it has raised feed prices. I have no choice but to pass on the cost.
No one gives me grants to serve/sell food that is raised on corn. I just knew I picked the wrong occupation, but right now I feel fortunate to still have one.
