From everything I've read all "corn to fuel" schemes are pretty much just farm subsidies, since the net energy gain from growing corn and using it to make vehicle fuel is minimal at best. All it will do it raise food prices and help framers make more money (not that thats a bad thing).
Why would framers make more money? Is it because rich farmers could build more barns with the money?
